Dietetic Internship: Application Process

To be eligible for the Dietetic Internship, candidates must:
- apply by January 13, 2012 (Note early application date)
- have completed the ADA minimum academic requirements
- have a grade point average of 3.0 in dietetics or nutrition courses
- submit an application on-line - DICAS
- GRE Score is not required for our application process.
- Once you are accepted into the program, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, Criminal Record Check and the FBI Fingerprinting will be required in order to participate in certain rotations. It is a condition of your internship at Adagio Health that we obtain satisfactory clearances.
- Adagio Health Dietetic Internship is participating in the on-line centralized internship application, DICAS, which may be accessed at https://portal.dicas.org , e-mail DICASinfo@DICAS.org. DICAS will be available after December 9, 2011 for the Spring 2012 Match. The on-line application must be completed for our program by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on January 13, 2012. The fee to use DICAS is $40 for the first application submitted and $20 for each additional application.
- When completing the application form, applicants must include the name and contact information (specifically an e-mail address) for each reference. This will trigger an e-mail message requesting completion of a reference form. The form will be completed on-line. Students submitting more than one application will need to use the same individuals as references for each application.
- Applicants who apply to internships using DICAS will be asked to complete a personal statement. Questions to be addressed in the personal statement include:
- Why do you want to enter the dietetics profession?
- Discuss experiences that have helped to prepare you for your career,
- What are your short-term and long-term goals?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses or areas needing improvement?
- 1000 Word limit
- Adagio Health Internship requires two additonal forms which need to be uploaded to the portal:

All applicants to the Dietetic Internships must also register online for computer matching at www.dnddigital.com, and select dietetic internship priority choices by 11:59 PM CST on February 15, 2012. There is a $50.00 computer matching fee.
- Application Fee is $50.00 payable to Adagio Health - Dietetic Internship and must be received by January 14, 2011. Please mail it to our administrative office along with your name, address and phone number to:

Nov. 23, 2011 - Dietetic Internship Open House 8:45 am to Noon

Dress is business attire. Parking is available on the side and back of the building.
Jan. 13, 2012 - The on-line application must be submitted with the addendum and your updated resume.
(Incomplete applications will not be considered for this round of interviews.) The $50.00 application fee is due to Adagio Health.
Jan. 23 - Feb. 6, 2012 - Interviews will be conducted.
Feb. 15, 2012 - Deadline for D&D Digital Systems computer matching.
Apr. 3, 2012 - Applicant Notification Day.
Apr. 4, 2012 - Applicant Appointment Day.
Aug. 13, 2012 - Program begins. (Date subject to change.)
